More Information About Homecoming Barn

The Barn has a unique layout which makes a feature of an original stone gable wall.  From the open plan living area wooden stairs rise to a gallery creating an airy space.  In cold weather a Charnwood stove supplements the full central heating and transforms the Barn into a cosy haven.

A double room and bathroom (slipper bath and separate shower) complete the accommodation on the ground floor.  The bedroom is spacious enough for a camp bed or cot as required.  Upstairs there is a twin room with en suite. (Shower)

The kitchen is equipped with electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.  A washing machine and drying facilities are available in an adjacent building.

The living area offers comfortable seating which includes 2 lie-back armchairs.  There is TV, DVD player and free WiFi, as well as a selection of books and an electric organ on the gallery.

French windows at the front of the barn open onto a terrace where seating is provided in summer.   A barbeque is available on request.  Children are free to play on the lawns and during the lambing season there may be an opportunity to bottle feed a lamb.  The grounds display mature trees, shrubs and daffodils in springtime.

Pets are welcome by prior arrangement with the owners and subject to the consent of the 4 farm cats.

Your hosts are knowledgeable about the local area and can give useful information on places to visit, places to dine and events taking place in the area.

The Barn is designed to sleep 4/5, but 2/3 people can rent the ground floor only at a reduced rate.
